Hotel Shabby Shabby was realised in the context of "Theater der Welt".

"Theater der Welt", also known as the Documenta of performative Arts, is one of the most famous international theatre-festivals.

Curated by theatre maker Matthias Lilienthal it took place in Mannheim in spring 2014.

Beforehand the architecture office raumlabor launched a competition for creating twenty temporary hotel rooms in unusual spots in the city of Mannheim.

MAMA PETER LÖRES was among the winners and realised the concept of a hunter's high seat lying on the flat roof of the local art club.

It served visitors of the festival as a hotel room for 12 nights.
